Breaking: Kengo Kuma and Associates and K2LD entry wins Founder’s Memorial competition in Singapore

March 9, 2020

The Founder’s Memorial design has been selected from among a shortlist of five submitted designs. The completed project by Japanese firm Kengo Kuma & Associates and local practice K2LD, along the Marina Bay precinct, will be completed by 2027.

Located in a 5ha site in Bay East Garden, the linear design integrates green landscape with a viewing gallery, a lake, a forest trail and an amphitheatre. The project was unanimously selected as the winner by a seven-member jury panel who commended the submission for its distinctive architecture, landscaping and place-making attributes.
