Well-known British interior designer Kelly Hoppen has designed Hotel Murmuri– a new boutique hotel in Barcelona (Bar-tha-lona to the purists), a city known for its rich culture and heritage. The hotel located in the very chic part of Rambla de Catalunya, close to Las Ramblas, La Pedrera and surrounded by some really hip boutiques, is kitted out in quintessentially ‘Hoppen style’ that marries the classic elements with the contemporary, quite effortlessly.

Hoppen, who has designed the first class cabins of British Airways and a number of celebrity homes including the LA home of the Beckhams, gives her signature sensual and sophisticated style to the hotel. Few designers use textures and forms with as much versatility as Hoppen. At Hotel Murmuri, while the textures are rich and decadent, the colours are subtle and silhouettes are trendy and minimalist.
