Every Thing Design Book designed by Dutch book designer Irma Boom personifies “book as object”. The massive tome eatures 700 prints, posters and other objects from the collection of Zurich’s Gestaltung Museum. Founded in 1875, the museum is well-known for its enviable collection of some of the most iconic design pieces including, Ettore Sottsass’s Valentine Typewriter for Olivetti, Paul Rand’s 1950 poster for the film No Way Out, works by El Lissitzky and Harry Bertoia, as well as works by important designers, textile artists and sculptors. The book is categorised into different sections and almost every page features a full-sized image, that gives an uninterrupted run of the museum’s entire collection.
