Dubai to host 2009 IFI World Interior Design Congress, 10-11 November at Grand Hyatt Hotel

This year it’s Dubai’s turn to host the IFI congress, ‘International Federation of Interior Designers/Architects’ for those of you not in the know. The congress will hold an array of activities: workshops, talks by world-renowned designers, panel sessions, debates, mater classes, design exhibitions, and competitions. This years event brings a gaggle of design talent to town and in true Dubai style we’re sure it’ll be nothing short of amazing. The event will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Dubai, lets hope these world class designers can give the local scene a few much needed tips. While the focus remains on the main Congress that will take place on Nov 10 and 11, the workshops and master classes will run from Nov 7-9.

The IFI was founded in Denmark in 1963 to unite and provoke discussion of Interior Design within a handful of European countries. Since then its grown into a world wide information source. The IFI collective represents over 65,000 practising Interior Designers worldwide.

    Hi, I am a budding gallerist and a currator. A very excited to come and have a look in thos summit hoping to meet lots of interior companies and maybe i can make a start here. We also do art consultancy apart from proving quality artworks from all over the world.

    The Dubai version of the IFI conference has been a great event so far with hundreds of interior designers and architects attending the lectures and workshops. I was invited to give a talk on “the magic of light” as well as teach a workshop on sustainable design and both events saw an engaged audience that was very interactive. Thanks for a wonderful event!
