Danish architect Arne Jacobsen’s Egg chair, originally designed for the Radisson SAS hotel in Copenhagen turns 50 this year.
Designed in 1958, it is now one of the most reverred design classics and is manufactured by Fritz Hansen. Although the original Egg chair was launched in leather, it is now available in a number of finishing from wool to colourful fabrics. Recently fast-food chain McDonalds used the iconic chair in one of its restaurants in London.
To mark its 50th aniversary, Fritz Hansen has launched the original chair in a serialised limited edition.
